One IB Continuum School in Beirut from Primary Years to Diploma
When you are choosing a school for the years ahead, continuity matters. Parents often want to know how one stage of learning connects with the next, which academic choices become available later and whether their child can continue growing within a familiar school community.
At Eastwood, our IB Continuum includes the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP). Students can develop inquiry, communication, research and independent learning habits as they move through each stage, with the academic expectations developing alongside them.
Our wider school experience includes Design + Technology, mindfulness, leadership opportunities, after-school activities and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. These experiences give students additional ways to explore interests, work with others and build confidence beyond their regular subjects.
For families comparing an IB school in Beirut or an international school in Beirut, Eastwood offers a pathway that can continue from the primary years through secondary school and university preparation.

The IB Diploma Program is designed for students aged 16 to 19 and provides a rigorous, internationally recognized route through the final years of high school. Students study across subject groups and complete the DP core, including Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service.

Duke of Edinburgh’s Intl Award
At Eastwood International School in Lebanon, students are provided the unique opportunity to participate in The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Awards program.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a systematized program for completing personal development milestones, in a documented way, with oversight. It teaches youth to pick an achievable goal, work towards it, stick to it, and see it through until the end. That act in itself says a lot; it requires a strong mindset to not give up, and to do what you say you’re going to do - even to yourself.
-

After-School Programs
Our after-school activity program is rich with unique activities, including Leadership, Mindfulness, Robotics, Photography, Theater…and even a Study Clinic in which our learners can pair up with teachers and their friends for extra academic support. Christmas Painting Events, Wellness Day, Cookie Decorations, Clay Night, and so much more are also part of the parent-child activities.
Not to mention international celebrations, such as International Day of Tolerance, Culture Day, EIS Tours the World, and so much more. This is all in efforts to reinforce the sense of community in our school. -
