Guidelines

  • Welcome to the Admissions Department at Eastwood International School in Beirut!
    We want to ensure that any local or international move to our school, for students and families, goes as smoothly as possible. Use the resources on this page to apply for nursery, kindergarten, elementary school (IB-PYP), Lebanese and American middle school or high school, and the IB-DP, including Section Française.

    At Eastwood International School in Beirut, we believe that happiness at school translates into well-rounded students who take pride in their social, behavioral, and academic capabilities. We strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment where students and parents become part of our family.

  • Your application will be processed upon receiving the following documentation (listed below) and after an on-boarding interview with the parents. The student(s) will sit for an evaluation test.

    1. The completed application form as well as the following forms:
    bus form, medical form & EIS Photo Release form. All forms can be picked up after the school on-boarding interview, or sent via email;

    2. An evaluation test for students from Grades 1 to 12; an interview will be conducted for EY students (nursery, KG1, KG2) both sections (English/French);

    3. A photocopy of vaccination booklet is compulsory for Grades 1-5;

    4. Official transcripts* from the last three years including the current year or progress reports for Early Years candidates (if applicable);

    5. Two passport size photos (Grade 1-12) and four passport photos for EY (nursery-KG2);

    6. One copy of the Lebanese ID card for students joining the Lebanese program. A copy of the foreign passport for students joining the IB/American program;

    7. An official document from the school, certified by the Ministry of Education attesting to a students’ successful completion of the previous academic year;

    8. A non-refundable application processing and testing fee of $100 per family;

    ATTENTION!
    *Student candidates for Grades 2 to 12 applying from outside of Lebanon, must certify their transcripts from the Lebanese Embassy or Consulate in the country they are leaving.

  • Eligibility to enter the Early Years Program

    A child must be age eligible:
    Nursery: Must be 3 by September 30th (Must be fully toilet trained)
    KG1: Must be 4 by September 30th
    KG2: Must be 5 by September 30th

    Eligibility for Grades 1-12
    (all programs)

    Students in Grades 1 through 12 will be placed only after a thorough review and evaluation of the following:

    • End of year report cards from previous three years;

    • A school certificate attesting previous academic year completion (stamped by the Ministry of Education for all students joining from a local school);

    • An internal evaluation test;

    For students requiring additional English language skills support:
    In addition to all admission requirements, entrance into the English as a Second Language Program is based upon a placement assessment.

    • For neurodivergent candidates , students will be evaluated for entrance on a case-by-case basis. We will require all assessments and documentation to be presented and students will be asked to spend 2 full trial days for observation prior to being accepted into the school.

  • If parents neglect to disclose any information regarding their child's previous diagnosis or treatment for developmental, speech, learning, social-emotional, or physical disabilities, and this information is discovered subsequent to the student's enrollment in the school, the school reserves the right to refuse acceptance or request the student's withdrawal from the institution.

    In such cases, no refund of any tuition or fees paid to date will be provided by the school. Open and transparent communication regarding a student's medical and developmental history is crucial to ensure the appropriate support and accommodations are provided for their educational journey.
