Enter our American school program in Lebanon for an internationally-recognized, English-language high school diploma

Eastwood International school in Lebanon offers an American High School Diploma for Beirut-area residents with international passports. Our American school curriculum starts as early as the middle school years, leading into high school graduation.

Students eligible to enroll in an American school in Lebanon possess the legal exemption from advanced studies in Arabic by the Lebanese government. The program awards a high school diploma recognized by the Lebanese Ministry of Education (upon completion of Grade 12 and starting in Grade 7). However, this English-language diploma also has the advantage of being eligible for entrance into universities around the world.

Our American school program in Lebanon benefits from award-winning curricula and teaching methods that Eastwood has become known for. Students are taught in one of the best English schools in Beirut with advanced technologies and resources at their fingertips (literally, everyone gets an iPad and takes coding courses).

While we are an official International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, and do offer the Lebanese Baccalaureate; our American High School Diploma remains one of our exceptional program choices for parents and students looking for a private education. This is most especially true for those in middle school hoping to enter the IB program by Grade 11.

Below are some of the qualities that make our American system school in Beirut different from others in the country.

About the Program

What makes our Beirut American
school program unique?

In this program, Eastwood International School (based in Beirut) teaches in the English language. It uses American, and thus, internationally-minded, curricula. Arabic and French are still taught as secondary languages. In their final year, students are supported to sit through internationally-recognized exams, such as the SAT (required), SAT II, and TOEFL. In some cases, high school students may also take selections of IB courses, without being in the full program (a separate path of study for upper grades). All students in the American school program are eligible to switch to the full IBDP at Eastwood Schools after completing Grade 10. Please see more info on this program at this page.
The Eastwood American program includes elements of modern education not seen in many classrooms around the world, let alone in Lebanon. We believe many of these qualities make us one of the best schools in Lebanon, especially in Beirut. Our exceptional school features include:
